Dates of Progression

The notes I created for every progressed piece of media coursework are highlighted below:

22/10/08
Today the class and myself watched the rest of the film 'Seven'.
After the film finished we watched the beginning section a few times and wrote down some notes.
We then had a class discussion and filled in 2 sections from the 'Thriller Analysis' sheet (Narrative Structure & Thriller Codes And Conventions).

06/11/08
Today we watched the beginning of 'Silence of The Lambs'. We made a lot of notes about the first part of the film and most of this work was done independantly. I thought it was a good beginning scene as it did create suspense at some parts.

07/11/08
Today we wrote down the theatre codes and conventions used in every single film. This includes the beginning of the films 'Seven', 'Jaws', American Psycho' and 'Silence of The Lambs'. Lindsey, our AS media teacher then asked each person for a theatre code/convention so that we could share our ideas and add more examples to our list.

17/11/08
Yesterday we got into our groups and started to produce a questionnaire. It had to have 20 questions and each of us needed a batch of 10 questionnaires to hand out to 40 people. Today we tallied up the questionnaire results together and we agreed that it was quite a simple task to do.
(Media questionnaire originally listed below).

24/11/08
Today in class we had to retrieve our work which had been checked with feedback and alter it.
We finished making adjustments the synopsis and treatment for our group working title 'The Perfect Justice'. We are now working on finishing our conclusions and making the beginning of our thriller film.

26/11/08
In media our group tried finishing off our tasks. We all agreed that it was going to be difficult to hand all of our work in on the deadline, therefore we decided that it would be best for each of us to choose a task to do and complete it. The tasks I have chosen are 5 - The conclusions as I need to post them - and 8 - The story board for our opening sequence.

27/11/08
Today we finished off our work to put on our blog. We each chose a task to do for our homework and we were able to book out a camera, track, and get characters. The story board is finished and we are almost ready to film.
